Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Location: Oakland, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $28 per hour


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift Machine Operators, Painters, and Parts Hangers in our Oakland, NJ facility. This position is responsible for supervising daily production activities based on the production schedule, assigning and managing workloads, and overseeing a team of six to seven employees in the Machine and Paint Shop departments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable operating fabrication equipment when necessary to meet production goals, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and teamwork.


Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s or Technical Degree preferred

Licenses / Certifications

  • Experience with powder coat painting and machine operations is a plus

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a metal fabrication facility
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Inventor is a plus
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle ERP experience preferred)
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Personal accountability and ownership of responsibilities
  • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and delegate workload for the Machine and Paint Shop departments to ensure production goals are met efficiently and on schedule
  • Accurately reflect all production details in the Oracle ERP system, including production status, work orders, and inventory transactions
  • Verify fabricated parts meet engineering specifications using drawings and precision measuring equipment
  • Provide direction to Paint Shop employees on proper coating and masking techniques
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and notify management of any discrepancies
  • Enforce and adhere to all company safety requirements and contribute to maintaining machining and paint area safety standards
  • Lead and support teamwork, safety, and quality initiatives in accordance with OSHA and company requirements
  • Train staff on machines and equipment; operate equipment as necessary to meet business objectives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
