1st Shift - WOR - Production #1100

Located in Lafayette, IN

Salary: $18/hour

Key Job Factors:                     (Highlights important for candidate to know.)

• Hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F. Some OT required.
• Paint manufacturing environment, working with chemicals, some with odors
• Driving forklifts to move materials and finished goods.
• Plant and warehouses heated.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Drug test mandatory prior to starting.
• Background check mandatory but can start work pending results.
• Follow Covid protocols such as masking when working around others.
• Wear safety glasses, safety shoes, other Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Starting Pay:  $18.00

Basic Qualifications:

• Production, Manufacturing, Factory experience
• Chemical handling experience a plus
• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Ability to record key process information on batch tickets
• Stand up and sit down forklift experience, ability to pass training test
• Basic knowledge of safety rules for factory/warehouse environments and willingness to comply with company specific requirements
• Basic math skills

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing quality paint in the most safe and efficient manner to fulfill our customer orders.  Duties and responsibilities include moving the raw materials to the correct location in the production area, weighing various raw materials, chemicals, and additives that go into the paint formula and adding that material to mixing tanks. Following instructions such validating the correct material, mixing for a certain time, adding materials in the correct order, taking samples of the paint and providing to the Quality lab for testing.  Filtering and filling the finished paint into the correct containers such as pails or drums as specified by the customer.
