Job Summary
A Customer Service Clerk is responsible for assisting customers by providing information, processing transactions, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused attitude.
Greet customers in person, by phone, or via email
Respond to customer inquiries about products, services, or policies
Process orders, returns, exchanges, and payments
Handle complaints and resolve issues professionally
Maintain accurate customer records and update databases
Assist with billing questions and basic account inquiries
Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer concerns
Prepare reports and documentation related to customer interactions
Follow company policies and service standards
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous customer service or clerical experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email systems, CRM software)
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Cash handling or point-of-sale (POS) experience
