Express Employment Professionals of Mount Vernon has partnered with a fast-growing hospitality property in the Skagit Valley area to recruit an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, lead multi-department teams, and uphold exceptional guest service standards. This hands-on leadership role partners closely with the General Manager to launch, stabilize, and optimize property operations in a dynamic, evolving environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-touch, service-driven setting where processes are actively being built and refined.
What you get to do:
- Supports the General Manager in daily operations and acts as GM when needed
- Oversees multiple departments including front office, housekeeping, security, maintenance, and amenities
- Ensures property standards, safety protocols, and service expectations are consistently met
- Develops and enforces SOPs, checklists, and operational processes
- Leads special projects such as new technology, event-space readiness, and renovations
- Serves as primary escalation point for guest issues and drives guest-experience improvements
- Supervises managers and hourly staff; handles scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
- Assists with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and identifying revenue/cost opportunities
- Manages PMS functions, reporting accuracy, compliance, and documentation standards
- Coordinates with marketing partners to align promotions with operational capacity
What you need to be successful:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations and guest service standards
- Skilled in Microsoft Office; familiarity with revenue management principles and coordination with digital marketing/OTA partners
- 10-15 years of hospitality leadership experience in a multi-amenity or boutique resort environment
- Experience managing operations at a property with 150+ units/sites or similar scale preferred
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Pay: $75,000 - $100,000 (DOE)
