Full Job Description

We are hiring Paint Prep Associates for a modular home manufacturer in Cuero, TX. This position works in a structured indoor production environment building residential homes year-round — no weather delays or rain-outs.

This role focuses on preparing surfaces for painting, including caulking and prepping areas to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish.

Essential Functions

• Prepare surfaces for painting
• Apply caulk and prep trim and wall areas
• Sand, patch, and clean surfaces as needed
• Assist painters to ensure efficient workflow
• Use hand tools safely and effectively
• Maintain quality and safety standards

Skills & Competencies

• Experience in paint prep or general construction
• Ability to apply caulk cleanly and accurately
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and production schedules
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Construction, paint prep, or general labor experience
• Ability to perform physical labor throughout the shift

Preferred:
• Residential or modular construction experience
• Production-based work background

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
