We are building a roster of dependable Construction Labourers for upcoming retail fixture installation and demolition projects in Scarborough and surrounding areas. These are short-term night‑shift assignments with the potential for repeat work once project dates are finalized.

Position

Job Title: Construction Labourer

Type: Temporary / Contract

Schedule: Night shift, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Breaks: One 30‑minute unpaid lunch and two 15‑minute paid breaks

Duration: Approximately 4 nights (subject to confirmation)

Project Overview

This future project involves both fixture installation and interior retail work, including unboxing, assembling, and installing store fixtures, as well as discarding packaging and materials into provided bins.

Key Responsibilities

• Unbox, assemble, and install retail fixtures
• Discard garbage and packaging into designated bins
• Use small hand tools safely and effectively
• Follow direction from supervisors and work efficiently as part of a team
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, cutting, prying, and general material handling
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift

Tools & Equipment Used

• Small hand drills
• Allen keys
• Utility knives
• Screwdrivers
• Basic hand tools as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks (cutting, lifting, assembling, prying)
• Able to work in a dusty, low‑light indoor environment

Safety Requirements

Candidates must provide and wear:

• Steel‑toed shoes or work boots
• Safety glasses
• Gloves

Work Environment

• Indoor, large retail store
• Store is closed to the public during work
• Minimal lighting and possible dust
• Only workers and supervisors present
