Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders to perform complex pipe welding projects in accordance with industry standards. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and adherence to welding regulations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in GMAW and SMAW downhill welding techniques and capable of reading and interpreting blueprints to complete assigned welding tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pipe welding using GMAW and SMAW downhill welding techniques

• Utilize oxygen acetylene torches as required

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan welding tasks

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards

• Operate weld positioners and turntables

• Examine materials for defects and ensure traceability

• Support junior welders and apprentices as needed

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Follow all company safety policies and welding procedures

• Contribute to team productivity and overall project efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipe fitting and welding

• Proven experience with GMAW and SMAW welding techniques

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding codes

• Experience with a 12” Butt and Branch weld test preferred

• Valid certifications such as API 1104 or ASME are a plus

• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for an 8-hour shift

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to work overtime as needed
