CDL Garbage Truck Driver

$23/hour
Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – Approximately 2:30 PM

Looking for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with early afternoons off? This full-time CDL driver role offers steady hours, strong benefits, and the opportunity to work independently on rural routes serving the Lewiston area.

 

What You’ll Do - You’ll operate a garbage and recycling truck, serving residential and small commercial customers across rural communities.

• Operate rear-load, side-load, or front-load garbage trucks on assigned rural routes

• Collect residential and small commercial solid waste and recycling materials safely

• Navigate rural roads, narrow driveways, and varying terrain in all weather conditions

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs

• Operate hydraulic lifting mechanisms and ensure proper container placement

• Maintain route efficiency while following DOT and company safety standards

• Complete route logs and required disposal documentation accurately

• Follow landfill and transfer station unloading procedures

• Provide courteous, professional customer service

What We’re Looking For

✔ Valid Class A or Class B CDL
✔ Comfortable driving rural routes and variable terrain
✔ Reliable with strong attention to detail
✔ Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
✔ Waste/recycling truck experience highly preferred

Schedule & Pay

• $23 per hour

• 40 hours per week

• Monday – Friday

• 6:00 AM start time

• Finish time depends on route completion (typically around 2:30 PM)
