Hone Operator – 3rd Shift
Our client in Rockford is making a strong impact in the manufacturing industry through their commitment to producing high-quality tools. They are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hone Operator to join their 3rd shift team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating machinery, and working with precision measurements.
Pay & Schedule:
$17.00 – $19.00 per hour
$1.00 shift differential for 3rd shift
Training will be completed on 1st shift
Evaluation-to-hire opportunity with benefits available upon permanent hire
Responsibilities:
Prepare jobs for grinding by establishing and calculating tolerance ranges (high/low limits)
Arrange gage pins from high to low limits
Remove stock and grind material to meet specifications
Verify measurements and ensure quality standards are met
Maintain production pace and workflow efficiency
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and high energy
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
Ability to read and use a micrometer
