Express Employment Professionals is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to work with a well-established architectural firm. In-person position. Salary is $31/hr.

Job Description

·         Process payroll end‑to‑end, including new hires, adjustments, final pay, deductions, and maintaining accurate employee payroll records.

·         Reconcile payroll data to the general ledger and review payroll batches for accuracy and compliance.

·         Manage employee benefits, deductions, and vendor coordination, and support employee payroll and benefits inquiries.

·         Review and process employee expense reports in alignment with company policies, and reconcile bank and credit card statements.

·         Maintain payroll systems, timesheets, job costing, and required payroll tax filings and payments. 

 

Qualifications

·         An Associate Degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a two-year college or technical school is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll.

·         Knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

·         Working knowledge of benefits programs including health insurance, long-term disability, life insurance, supplemental insurance, flexible spending account, and 401(k).

·         Experience with Deltek software is preferred but not required.
