Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our tax office during the busy tax season. This temporary, full-time role supports payroll processing for multiple clients and requires hands-on experience with ADP and a solid understanding of payroll regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process client payroll accurately and on time using ADP
Assist with weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll runs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain payroll records and employee data
Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and inquiries
Assist with payroll tax filings and reports as needed
Communicate with clients regarding payroll questions and issues
Support tax office staff during peak season workload
Qualifications & Requirements:
Prior payroll experience required
Working knowledge of ADP payroll systems (required)
Understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
Proficient with basic office software (Excel, email, etc.)
Professional, dependable, and able to work full-time during tax season
