Saw Operator/Machine Operator

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00AM to 3:30PM

Salary: $21.50 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing according to work order specifications.
• Set up and run equipment properly, ensuring materials meet setup note requirements.
• Record measurements and verify product quality per written instructions and sampling plans.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap or non-conforming material.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep measurement equipment in working condition.
• Enter or delete material identification tags accurately per instructions.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and clean-up of work areas.
• Communicate with sales representatives and supervisors regarding order changes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Support safety standards, train others when required, and participate in lean/quality improvement activities.

Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
• Basic math skills.
• Safety mindset.
• Computer literate.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Use of handheld measuring tools.
