Medical Receptionist

Location: Vestal Parkway, Vestal, NY

Hourly Rate: $17/hour

Job Hours:

• Monday, Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM (one day per week will be a late shift, to be determined)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Receptionist / Office Assistant to join our team at a busy Eye Clinic located on Vestal Parkway. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic. Your primary responsibilities will include scheduling patient appointments, checking in patients, and assisting with general office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, ensure accurate scheduling, and manage the appointment calendar.
• Patient Check-In: Greet patients upon arrival, confirm personal and insurance information, and check patients into the system.
• Phone & Email Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with appointment rescheduling and reminders.
• Administrative Support: Perform general office tasks, such as filing, scanning documents, and maintaining patient records.
• Office Environment: Ensure the office remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all patients.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or office assistant role is preferred, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
