Press Operator  (Plastic Injection) 

Role Purpose
A Plastic Injection Press Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. The role ensures that production runs smoothly, products meet specifications, and safety standards are upheld 

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup
  Set up and operate injection molding machines, including hydraulic/electric presses, hot-runner systems, and molds (single- and multi-cavity)
  Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time, screw RPM) to achieve target output and quality 
• Quality Control
  Monitor production runs for defects (cracks, bubbles, color inconsistencies) and make adjustments to maintain quality 
  Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools
• Maintenance & Safety
  Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition
  Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE
• Documentation
  Record production data (volume, downtime, scrap rates, efficiency) and maintain accurate logs or reports
• Collaboration
  Work with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes

Required Skills & Abilities

• Hands-on experience with plastic molding machines and molds.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in shifts and follow safety protocols
