Office Secretary / Receptionist Salem, OR
Pay: Starting at $17/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
A local company in Salem is seeking a reliable and friendly Office Secretary/Receptionist to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and keeping things organized while serving as the front line of the office.
Create and process invoices using QuickBooks
Place and track orders for parts and supplies
Contact vendors to locate needed items and confirm delivery timelines
Answer incoming calls and manage front-office communications
Maintain organized records and assist with general administrative tasks
Talk with customers to understand needs and assist with basic troubleshooting
Search for parts online and assist with purchasing and ordering
Take clear, accurate notes and relay information to the team
Handle multiple tasks at once and shift priorities mid-task when needed
Experience using QuickBooks, including invoice creation
Strong computer skills
Excellent phone skills and professional phone etiquette
Good handwriting and strong note-taking abilities
Strong vendor coordination and customer communication skills
Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting
Detail-oriented, dependable, and well organized
Ability to “roll with the punches” and manage shifting priorities
Comfortable taking on new tasks in the middle of another
