Black-Iron Welder (Direct Hire)

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Black Iron Welder to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for reading drawings, preparing materials, and performing MIG welding on customer products and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and works well in a team-based shop environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Interpret simple to complex drawings, sketches, and work instructions or build from samples
• Clean, cut, and prepare various metals for welding
• Set up and perform MIG welding on customer products and components
• Shop equipment is safely operated, including saws, cutting torch, press, iron worker, and related fabrication tools
• Produce work that meets or exceeds all Quality Control standards
• Safely operated material handling equipment such as hoists, cranes, pallet jacks, and carts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work cooperatively as an active team member
• Perform other duties as assigned by company management

Must-Have Qualifications

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including:
• Standing 8+ hours per day
• Routine stooping and bending
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Positive, professional, and business-like attitude
• Willingness to wear all OSHA-required safety equipment and follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Respectful and professional communication with coworkers and supervisors
• Reliable attendance — consistent presence is essential to department operations
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug screen

Perks & Benefits

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM-4 PM

• Hourly Wage: $26.50 – $28.50/HR, depending on experience.

• DIRECT HIRE position (meaning you start working for this employer immediately on day one, with Benefits) 

• 9-hour days M-TH, EARLY OUT FRIDAYS based on workflow.
• Average work week is 40-42 hours.

• NO NIGHTS!

• NO WEEKENDS!
