Machine Maintenance Technician

Located in Detroit, MI

Salary: $25-30/hr.

Description: Our client, a metal tube manufacturer, is seeking a safety conscious maintenance technician to service their Northwest Detroit Facility. In the role, you will work on machines, weld parts and maintain the property as needed. Some previous experience is required, but they are willing to train on their specific machinery.

Location: Detroit, MI

Position type: Machine Maintenance Technician 

Pay: $25-30 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift and 3rd Shift openings 

Well qualified candidates must have the following:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (steel processing or heavy manufacturing preferred)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work orders
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts
• Electrical troubleshooting experience (480V systems, motors, VFDs)
• PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Welding and fabrication experience
• CMMS experience
• Experience in Detroit-area steel mills, service centers, or automotive suppliers
