Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a premier precision CNC machining company in Brighton, MI seeking a Machine Technician to up-train into a CNC Operator or Setup role. Shift & Training Schedule

Training Period:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Duration: 2–4 months (based on learning progression)

Post-Training Long Term Schedule:

• 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Summary: The Machine Technician role is designed as a development pathway into CNC operations. Employees will receive hands-on training in inspection, machining fundamentals, and shop processes while supporting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Train in the CMM inspection lab to understand precision quality standards
• Inspect machined parts for conformance to specifications and document results
• Cross-train on CNC mill and lathe operations: Fadal, Okuma, and Doosan with Fanuc Controllers
• Follow verbal instructions, written work orders, and blueprint specifications
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Support production team with part handling and shop tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• CNC experience helpful but not required — mechanical aptitude required
• Career-focused mindset with interest in long-term advancement
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain standing/bending throughout the shift
• Strong attendance and reliability during training period
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Good vision required; must pass standard vision test for inspection work
• Proven job stability and longevity preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
