Salary: $17.00 per hour

CNC Machine Operator / CNC Setup Technician

Location: South McAllen, TX

Pay: $17 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Overtime required during the week and weekends as needed)

Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators / CNC Setup Technicians for a manufacturing facility in the South McAllen area. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC machines, performing program edits, and troubleshooting equipment.

Job Duties

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills, CNC lathes, screw machines, and other production equipment
• Operate two or more primary machines and assist with secondary machines as required
• Edit CNC programs and write basic programs when necessary
• Adjust speeds and feeds to ensure parts are machined accurately and efficiently
• Set up, operate, and modify robotic equipment and programs where applicable
• Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and inspection instructions
• Verify part dimensions and tolerances using measuring and inspection tools
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify machining issues and make necessary adjustments
• Troubleshoot equipment and report mechanical or quality issues
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines

Qualifications

• Recent previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator or CNC Setup Technician (Within the past year)
• Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, screw machines, or similar equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of basic shop math including tolerances, speeds, and feeds
• Experience using precision measuring tools and gauges
• Ability to consistently measure and verify tight tolerances
• Knowledge of pneumatics and automated manufacturing systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Willingness to work overtime during the week and on weekends
