Position Overview

We are working with a growing company seeking a mechanically skilled Commercial Equipment Service Technician to support repair, maintenance, installation, demonstrations, and training for commercial and industrial cleaning equipment. This role blends hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and support of the sales team in the field and in-house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial cleaning equipment including autoscrubbers, extractors, burnishers, and vacuums

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services in-house and in the field

  • Install, maintain, and repair chemical injection systems

  • Support sales staff by answering technical questions related to machines, parts, service, and PM programs

  • Accompany sales staff to customer sites to demonstrate new and existing equipment

  • Provide detailed, accurate equipment demonstrations for prospects and customers

  • Educate customers on preventive maintenance programs and service options

  • Write PM contracts, quote services, sell PM agreements, and carry out contracted work

  • Schedule PMs, service calls, and machine demonstrations

  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of service calls, PM contracts, and service department sales

  • Deliver top-level customer service to clients, sales staff, and walk-in customers

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair experience

  • Knowledge of complex electronic circuitry and electrical troubleshooting

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing systems

  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and manuals

  • Basic understanding of chemistry related to cleaning systems and chemical injection

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Comfortable working independently and directly with customers


Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Personal auto insurance

  • High school diploma or GED
