Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support equipment operations, jobsite preparation, and general construction tasks. The ideal candidate is safety‑minded, physically capable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This role is essential to ensuring efficient project workflow and high‑quality results on every job.

Key Responsibilities

General Labor & Jobsite Support

• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and construction materials.
• Perform basic tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and operating hand tools.
• Provide support to equipment operators and skilled trades as needed.

Equipment & Tool Assistance

• Safely operate small tools and equipment (e.g., compactors, saws, drills).
• Help maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and reporting issues to supervisors.
• Assist in moving and positioning heavy equipment with proper direction and safety protocols.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety standards, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Wear required PPE at all times on site.
• Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in safety meetings and required training.

Site Operations

• Support excavation, grading, demolition, or installation tasks depending on project type.
• Set up and take down barricades, warning signs, and work zone protections.
• Keep jobsite clean, organized, and hazard‑free throughout the workday.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, subcontractors, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or labor experience preferred, but not required—willing to train the right candidate.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on feet for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safe work practices a plus.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and willingness to follow directions.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working around heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, or similar fields.

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction environments with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions.
• Fast-paced, team‑oriented workflow.
• Work may require early mornings, some overtime, or occasional weekend hours depending on project needs.
