Kitchen Aid Helper — Nursing Home Job Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident needs

• Wash, peel, cut, and portion fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients

• Help cook and assemble meals under the supervision of kitchen staff or chefs

• Serve meals to residents while adhering to proper portioning and dietary restrictions

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with health and safety standards

• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment, and notify supervisors of shortages

• Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures

• Assist with dishwashing, garbage disposal, and general kitchen housekeeping

• Support dietary staff in special meal requests and accommodations for residents

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and a safe, clean environment

• Report any food or equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor promptly
