US Customs Entry Clerk

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized US Customs Entry Clerk to join our growing team in McAllen, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing U.S. customs entries, ensuring full compliance with CBP regulations and partner government agencies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth and efficient trade operations for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate customs entry documents including import declarations, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
• Ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and requirements from other government agencies (FDA, USDA, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, clients, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues or delays.
• Maintain comprehensive and compliant records of all transactions in accordance with legal and company policy.
• Monitor regulatory changes and help update internal processes accordingly.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and offering timely shipment updates

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in customs brokerage or international logistics is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. customs regulations and import procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customs entry systems (e.g., ACE, ABI); experience with RB Systems is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
