About the Role

Express Pros–Canton is seeking a Bus Bar Assembly Technician to assemble pre-fabricated copper bus bars into electrical assemblies. This is a hands-on role focused on alignment, hardware installation, and torque‑specific fastening. No cutting, machining, or metal forming is required—just precision assembly using hand tools and clear instructions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Assemble pre-made copper bus bars based on drawings or assembly instructions
Install bolts, washers, spacers, and hardware in the correct order
Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten fasteners to specified torque values
Verify proper alignment and fit of all bus bar components
Perform basic visual inspections for correctness and quality
Handle and position copper bus bars weighing up to 50 lbs
Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
Keep work area organized and report missing or damaged components

Required Skills & Qualifications

Ability to follow step-by-step assembly instructions or drawings
Comfortable using a torque wrench and following torque specifications
Basic mechanical aptitude (think: assembling large, heavy building blocks)
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to safely lift and position heavy components (up to 50 lbs)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in mechanical or electrical assembly
Familiarity with torque specifications and fastener hardware

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, and position components up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and repetitive hand motions during assembly tasks

Work Environment

Manufacturing or assembly-floor environment
Required PPE may include gloves, safety shoes, and other protective equipment
