Licensed Water Operator

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a licensed Groundwater Operator. The ideal candidate holds at least a Class C groundwater license and is comfortable running wells, pumps, and treatment equipment.

 

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor groundwater wells, pumps, storage tanks, and treatment processes for the MUD water system.

• Make routine rounds, read meters and gauges/SCADA, and adjust flows, pressures, and chemical feed rates as needed.

• Collect water samples from wells, plant, and distribution system and perform required field tests (chlorine residual, pH, turbidity, etc.).

• Maintain water quality within regulatory standards and assist with basic reporting as needed.

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, valves, and chemical feed equipment.

• Assist with distribution system work, including line flushing, valve exercising, and responding to leaks or service issues.

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas groundwater operator license – minimum Class C (higher-level licenses strongly preferred and eligible for higher pay).

• Experience operating public water systems (MUD, city, or similar environment).

• Working knowledge of drinking water regulations, sampling, and reporting requirements.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for pumps and related equipment.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: Based on license level and experience (Class C starting at $20/hr; higher licenses commensurate with experience).

• Schedule: Full-time; Monday–Friday day shift.
