About the Role

Express Pros–Akron is seeking an experienced Welder to complete welding assignments using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and/or Stick/Arc welding techniques. This role is essential to producing high‑quality parts and assemblies that meet customer and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Set up welding machines based on job requirements
• Select appropriate equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together
• Bolt, clamp, and tack‑weld parts to secure components in proper position
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding specifications
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Competence in required welding skills and job knowledge
• Willingness to learn new skills and stay current with industry practices
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and use resources efficiently

Physical Requirements

The position requires:

• Frequent use of hands for handling and welding tasks
• Reaching, talking, and hearing
• Regular standing and sitting; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and ladder climbing
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

While performing job duties, the employee will be:

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration
• Working in a loud noise environment
