Distribution Center Associate
Location: Kansas City, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:00pm (30-minute lunch) | Occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay: $19.16/hour, paid weekly

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Distribution Center Associate to support daily warehouse operations and ensure accurate, timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role is ideal for someone who has experience operating warehouse equipment, values safety, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term potential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate order picker and cherry picker equipment

• Unload, receive, and put away inventory using RF scanners

• Inspect inbound shipments for damage, shortages, or overages

• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment, including elevated picking

• Load outbound trucks as needed

• Maintain organized and accurate warehouse inventory

• Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory

• Keep work areas clean and follow safety standards

• Complete equipment and safety reports as required

• Support daily warehouse efficiency and team operations

Qualifications:

• Prior order picker and/or cherry picker experience required

• Equipment certification strongly preferred

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable bending, climbing, and working at heights

• Ability to pass background check and drug screen

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

• Strong safety awareness and reliability
