Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Grounds Maintenance person will perform a variety of tasks to ensure that the building and grounds are orderly and provide a safe and pleasant environment. Duties include but are not limited to mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, removing dead or unwanted plants.  Keep buildings clean and in proper working order by inspecting and making any necessary needed repairs, such as changing light bulbs, painting, cleaning windows, washing sidewalk, mopping, throwing trash, and all other duties as assigned.  

 

Job Requirements / Qualifications

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable

Dependable and cooperative

 

Preferred

High School Diploma/GED

6 months of relevant work experience

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

 

Equipment Used:

Lawn mower, edger, weed trimmer, tractor mower, company vehicle

 

Working Conditions:

Strenuous walking, standing, pushing, pulling, heavy lifting and carrying, working in extreme weather condition, exposure to dust, working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
