MIG Welder – 1st Shift (Production Environment) Shift: Monday–Friday | 1st shift Environment: Fast-paced, heavy production welding (non-custom) Position Overview We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join a high-volume production facility supporting large OEM manufacturing. This role requires consistent quality, speed, and reliability in a demanding production environment where precision and accountability are critical. Key Responsibilities Perform production MIG welding on carbon steel components following standardized weld procedures Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions Maintain strict quality standards—parts must meet inspection requirements with minimal rework Consistently produce welds that meet dimensional, structural, and visual quality expectations Safely lift and position materials weighing 50 lbs or more (team lifts and hoists available) Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols Participate in and successfully complete a hands-on weld test Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience in a production or fast-paced environment OR completion of a recognized welding program or certification Proven experience working in high-volume production welding (not custom or one-off fabrication) Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions Strong basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, tape measure) Demonstrated employment stability Previous roles held 6 months or longer preferred Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs or more throughout the shift Must own and bring a weld hood for weld testing Willing and available to complete a weld test and assessment as part of the interview process Quality Expectations Quality is critical in this role—errors can impact entire production runs Welders must be coachable and able to quickly correct issues Failure to meet quality standards or respond to training may result in disqualification Schedule 1st Shift: Monday–Friday Overtime may be required based on production demand Pre-Employment Assessment Candidates will be evaluated on: Results of weld test Math and measurement assessment Ability to perform in a fast-paced production welding environment #3071ST
