Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and executing the launch of new manufactured parts and products
- Apply a strong understanding of machining and fabrication concepts, as well as show the ability to understand customer blueprints and technical drawings
- Coordinate closely with the machining and fabrication departments to ensure products are being completed in a timely manner
- Coordinate closely with the Costing and Purchasing departments to ensure the accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM), including component specifications, vendor sourcing, and material costs
- Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for process tracking, cost analysis, scheduling, generating performance reports, and identifying opportunities for optimization
- Use SolidWorks to modify existing models, update layout drawings, or design simple fixtures/tooling to aid in process improvement.
Requirements
- Solid foundational understanding of machining and fabrication principles in the production of manufactured parts and familiarity with quality control methodologies
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional coordination.
- 2-3 years in a manufacturing setting preferred
