Position Title – Welder I (MIG Welding)

 

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Welder I to join our production team. This position supports rebuild and production operations by welding and assembling mechanical components in accordance with company standards and quality requirements. This is a great opportunity for a motivated welder looking to grow within a structured, ISO-driven manufacturing environment.

Employment Type: Full-time
Work Conditions: Manufacturing / Factory Environment
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm


Position Summary:
With close to minimal supervision, the Welder I will weld sub-assemblies and finished products to meet production schedules and quality standards. This role involves MIG welding, material preparation, inspection, and maintaining workplace safety in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.


Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform GMAW (MIG) welding on sub-assemblies and finished products following written and verbal instructions

  • Weld materials including A36 and 4140 heat-treated steel in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions

  • Perform basic air arc gouging as needed

  • Conduct on-line inspection and quality checks

  • Clean and prepare units for next production stage

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records

  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE

  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization

  • Participate in continuous improvement and team meetings

  • Assist other departments as needed


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 0–5 years of welding experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • MIG welding experience required

  • Welding certification preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a factory environment

  • Strong attention to safety and quality standards


Skills Required:

  • MIG welding proficiency

  • Basic welding inspection knowledge

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills

  • Problem-solving ability and willingness to accept feedback


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and chemicals

  • Regular standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required

  • Exposure to sharp tools and metal materials

  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery
