Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Referral Coordinator to manage patient referrals and ensure smooth communication between healthcare providers and patients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing excellent patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and identify appropriate specialists for referrals.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with legal and medical standards.
• Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients, including insurance and authorization processes.
• Schedule and track appointments to ensure timely patient care.
• Provide patient education and support regarding referrals and treatment options.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with certification from an approved credentialing body, including:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• Minimum 2 years of CMA experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum 2 year of recent referral coordination experience.
• Active BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and accurate documentation.

Required Skills:

• Experience with insurance authorizations and referral processes.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
