We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our clients warehouse team. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, and possess the necessary skills to operate warehouse equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision and efficiency in warehouse distribution.
** This role is 25% forklift / 75% General labor**
**Must be externally certified in both Raymond Reach and Counterbalance**
**Physically fit, as this role is required to lift heavy repetativly**
**Only open to candidate living in Oakville, Burlington or Mississauga**
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging and labeling products accurately
- Receive incoming inventory, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or MRP systems
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock organization within the warehouse
- Pick orders efficiently using order picker equipment or manual methods for timely order fulfillment
- Ensure all shipments comply with safety standards and company policies
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and perform routine maintenance checks
- Support e-commerce order processing and distribution activities
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse machinery
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), MRP systems like AS400, and warehouse distribution processes
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and measurements
- Familiarity with order picking, packing, and load & unload operations in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and equipment operation standards
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
