Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a meticulous and reliable Core Prep & Assembly Technician to join their team. This position plays a vital role in preparing and assembling core components for manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing materials, assembling parts, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the assembly process.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Preparation:
Prepare raw materials and components for assembly, ensuring that parts are clean, cut to specifications, and free of defects.
Inspect materials and parts to ensure they meet quality standards before beginning assembly.
Set up and operate preparation tools and equipment as needed.
Assembly Tasks:
Assemble components and parts accurately according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
Perform mechanical, electrical, or other types of assembly based on the type of product being manufactured.
Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly machines to complete tasks.
Quality Control:
Perform inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure that all components are correctly aligned, fitted, and functioning.
Identify any defects or issues in assembly, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions.
Ensure that all completed assemblies meet or exceed company quality standards.
Safety & Maintenance:
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies on safety and cleanliness.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Documentation:
Accurately record assembly and prep activities, including quantities produced and any issues encountered.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory and stock of materials needed for core prep and assembly.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training a plus).
Previous experience in core prep, assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor.
Working Conditions:

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
