Customer Service Representative | 8:30AM – 5:00PM | Mon-Fri | $19.00/hr

 

A locally owned, well-known insurance agency in Decatur, IL is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative.  The person in this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, assisting with policy inquiries, processing changes, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative

• Answer incoming calls and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally
• Assist clients with policy changes, billing questions, and coverage details
• Introduce clients to all available insurance policy options with clear explanations
• Promote and sell a variety of insurance products
• Process documentation accurately and maintain client records
• Support agents with administrative tasks and follow-up communications
• Ensure that all medical and other necessary forms are filled out and filed
• Arrange a payment method with the insured
• Follow up on claims filed by clients
• Calculate premiums
• Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships

 

Qualifications for Customer Service Representative

• Previous customer service experience (insurance industry experience a plus)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn agency management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
