Position Title

Outside Sales Representative


Overview

Seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative responsible for promoting and selling products through a combination of inside and outside sales efforts. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying customer needs, managing a sales territory, and driving revenue through consultative selling and proactive prospecting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company professionally in the marketplace

  • Meet with existing and prospective customers in person and remotely

  • Present, promote, and sell product offerings

  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions

  • Develop and grow distributor and customer relationships

  • Address customer questions, concerns, and service issues

  • Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships

  • Deliver product samples, catalogs, and sales materials as needed

  • Network and attend industry events to generate leads and build brand awareness

  • Develop in-depth product knowledge including features, benefits, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance guidelines

  • Maintain accurate customer records and post-contact updates in a CRM system

  • Manage an assigned sales territory and sales pipeline

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to share market insights, competitor activity, and trends

  • Manage customer communications including calls, texts, and emails

  • Prospect, generate appointments, and qualify new sales opportunities

  • Assist walk-in customers and support showroom or office operations when on-site

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing and Sales to ensure a consistent, customer-focused approach

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on products and industry trends


Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of sales experience

  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Persuasion and negotiation skills

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as needed (product samples, displays, materials)
