Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Corry, PA client. Our client is looking for a 3rd shift Weaver Operator.  

 

The Weaving Operator is responsible for operating circular looms and related weaving equipment to produce high-quality woven jackets in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring production, performing yarn handling tasks, inspecting finished products for quality, and maintaining a clean and professional workspace. The position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to meet physical demands in an industrial setting.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operate circular looms, including changing weft bobbins and threading yarn into looms
  • Operate yarn rewinding machines as required
  • Load creels with warp yarn packages to support continuous production
  • Air splice warp yarn ends to maintain yarn flow and efficiency
  • Inspect woven jackets to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Flake woven jackets into large containers for handling and transport
  • Monitor product quality and identify defects throughout the weaving process
  • Communicate effectively with Weaving Operators and team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive workplace conduct
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned, including proprietary tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift throughout the workday (100% of shift; subject to daily variation)
  • Assist with lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 lbs. in compliance with Midwest Hose Safety Standards
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of a warehouse/manufacturing environment, including:
    • Manual dexterity, grasping, and fine hand movements
    • Reaching, squatting, and climbing
    • Working around moving machinery
    • Exposure to temperature and humidity changes
    • Exposure to light dust and fumes
  • Energetic, positive, and outgoing attitude
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet daily production demands

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience (required)

 

Hours are M-F 11 pm to 7 am and pay is $17.00/hr to start.
