Production Technician I

Salary: $18.00

We are looking for a seasonal Production Technician I for a local company in Grants Pass. The Production Tech. personnel are responsible for assisting with the building and stocking of inventory and finished goods. After training, they should be able to weigh and measure ingredients, run packaging equipment and forklifts (if certified). They will rely on instruction from immediate supervisor. All personnel are required to abide by strict safety and quality standards.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Operate mixing equipment and packaging line
• Understand, read and prepare a work order and bill of materials
• Recognize discrepancies on work orders or bill of materials and take any issue to supervisor
• Understand and calculate batch sizes
• Report any equipment/machinery issues to supervisor
• Strictly follow safety and quality control standards and recognize and report and concerns
• Clean up and organization of machines, work areas, scales, storage, etc.
• Running and operating a forklift (certification required)
• Seasonal field work, outdoors on site

Experience:

• Forklift Certified a plus
• Committed and Responsible
• Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Moderate to heavy lifting (50+ lbs) are part of the regular work day.
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving skills

Education:

• High School Diploma
