Assembler Level III

Express Employment Professionals are seeking experienced Assembler Level III's to perform advanced assembly processes, tests, and repairs on manufactured equipment and products. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot, and a solid understanding of precision measuring instruments. The Assembler Level III works independently and contributes to improving production efficiency, quality, and safety.

Pay & Shift

$20.00/Hour

7:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday with OT on Saturdays


Key Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of assembly operations on manufactured products including mechanical, electrical, and equipment housing assemblies.
  • Works from engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, bills of material, and verbal instructions.
  • Performs skilled assembly tasks such as fitting, mounting, aligning, adjusting, and torquing components.
  • Conducts in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Uses precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, etc.) to verify conformance.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions, performs equipment testing, and completes repairs as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains detailed records of work performed and documentation required for the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine the most efficient and effective repair methods.
  • May assist in training and supporting lower-level assemblers.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–10 years of relevant assembly, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and tools.
  • Experience with torque tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as Work Orders, PDM, or ERP platforms.
  • Ability to recognize defective materials and equipment malfunctions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., data entry, documentation).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally (team lifts as needed).
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb ladders or steps as required.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools and materials.
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, temperature variations, dust, and industrial odors.
  • Visual acuity required for inspections and precise measurements.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing/production shop environment.
  • Use of PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, etc.).
  • May operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment (training provided).
