Accounts Payable Accountant

What is the Opportunity? 

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join a growing agricultural manufacturing and distribution business. This position reports directly to the Controller performing the accounting needs of seven business entities.

How will you spend your time?

1. Primary responsibility is to manage Accounts payable for entities
2. Secondary responsibility is to manage receivable, payroll, and tax processes
3. Manage government tax filing requirements
4. Maintain on-line driver log and reporting
5. First contact for incoming office phone calls
6. Assist in identifying, and implementing processes to increase efficiency
7. Other duties as assigned

We are interested in you if you have the following:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years in Accounting or Bookkeeping
• Proficient A/P and inventory accounting
• Preferred A/R, payroll, Federal and State business tax filing
• Requires proficiency with QuickBooks
• Prefer experience with Sage, Peachtree, or Great Plains software
• Education: Prefer associate's degree in accounting
• Skills: Proficient English written and oral communication,
• Attributes: Personable, efficient, detail and accuracy oriented
• Screening: Background check and employment verifications
