Laboratory Technician

Location: Paterson, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Laboratory Technician to join our team in Paterson, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry and experience supporting quality control, research and development (R&D), and general laboratory operations. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, supporting innovation, and maintaining accurate laboratory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on finished products and raw materials, including:
• pH
• Viscosity
• Color
• Quat testing
• Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
• Bleach strength
• Alkalinity strength
• Conduct water testing and routine laboratory analyses
• Support research and development, including:
• Testing substitute raw materials
• Creating and mixing sample products
• Accurately log test results electronically
• Maintain retain samples and proper documentation
• Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with internal standards
• Collaborate closely with plant employees, the Plant Manager, and company President

Qualifications

• Background in chemistry or laboratory science (education and/or hands-on experience)
• Experience with quality control testing and laboratory procedures
• Familiarity with chemical testing methods and laboratory equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with production and leadership teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
