A respected nonprofit organization in East Asheville is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy, organization, and speed matter. What You’ll Be Doing

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and on time

• Review invoices for coding, approvals, and compliance

• Maintain organized vendor records and payment documentation

• Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies

• Assist with month-end close and reporting support

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments

• Maintain strict financial controls and documentation standards

• Support the accounting team with additional administrative finance tasks

What They’re Looking For

• Prior accounts payable or accounting support experience

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Fast learner with strong problem-solving ability

• Comfortable with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• Nonprofit experience preferred but not required

• NetSuite experience a plus, not required

• Professional communication and teamwork skills
