Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
Pay: $20 - $25

Summary:
The Metal Shop QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in process fabrication and finished metal products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and industry standards. The role ensure that all products leaving the shop meet quality, safety and performance requirements.

 

Quality Inspection:
-Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, and other precision tools.
-Inspect fabricated parts, assemblies, and structural components for defects, accuracy, and workmanship.
-Conduct first article, in process, and final inspections.
-Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Documentation & Reporting:
-Complete inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation.
-Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics.
-Tag and quarantine nonconforming materials or parts.
-Communicate quality issues to supervisors, engineers, and production teams.

Shop Support:
-Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
-Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
-Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection tools
