Key Responsibilities
Project Analysis
Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

 

Cost Estimation
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and overhead while considering project-specific details such as wood types, finishes, and hardware.

Vendor and Material Management
Source pricing from subcontractors and vendors while maintaining strong relationships to ensure competitive material costs.

Bid Preparation
Collaborate with estimators, engineers, managers, and advisors to develop complete and accurate bid presentations that meet project specifications.

Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency, aligning estimates with actual project outcomes.

Communication and Documentation
Submit RFIs (Requests for Information) to contractors to clarify discrepancies or missing details in project documentation.

Requirements
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to bid submission protocols
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Punctual, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cabinetry, millwork, or manufacturing environments
Familiarity with cabinetry design, construction practices, and materials
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Prior experience in an Estimator role or using estimating software
Experience working with contractors and submitting addendums
Strong research skills to identify optimal materials and pricing

 

Compensation
Starting pay range is $22–$25 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
