Express Service Technician

Located in Lexington, KY

Salary: 15.00

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements

• Inspect and top off vehicle fluid levels as needed

• Check and adjust tire pressures

• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts

• Keep the shop area clean, organized, and safe

• Maintain accountability for dealership-owned tools and manuals

• Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Test-drive vehicles and operate diagnostic equipment as needed

• Assist with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, A/C, etc.)

• Document and complete work as outlined on repair orders, following all dealership and factory standards

• Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding additional services needed

• Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs

• Perform warranty work to manufacturer specifications

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

• Entry-level experience preferred; eagerness to learn and grow required

• Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical, and engine repair is preferred

• Strong physical dexterity and the ability to work with tools

• Positive, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills

• Punctual, reliable, and able to collaborate in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Basic computer skills

• Willingness to learn new technology and procedures

• Excellent customer service skills and a desire to grow in the automotive field
