About the Opportunity
This temp-to-hire welding role supports multiple metal fabrication and manufacturing facilities in the St. Charles County area. These companies are hiring for both entry-level and advanced welders across all shifts. Candidates must be familiar with weld tests and able to pass an on-site weld evaluation. Certifications are a plus but not required.
What You’ll Do
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel, stainless, or aluminum components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
  • Fit, tack, and assemble parts through standard fabrication practices
  • Operate grinders, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and fabrication equipment
  • Inspect welds for strength, accuracy, and overall quality
  • Complete a weld test as part of the hiring process
  • Maintain safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Support general fabrication or production tasks as needed
What You Bring
  • Familiarity with MIG and/or TIG welding processes
  • Ability to pass a weld test
  • Understanding of fabrication basics, measurements, and shop tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certifications are preferred but not required
Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read advanced weld symbols and layout drawings
  • Experience welding multiple metals (steel, aluminum, stainless)
  • Knowledge of fabrication math and precision measuring tools

  • Employment Type: Temp-to-hire through Express Employment Professionals
  • Pay:
    • Entry-Level: Earn up to $22/hr depending on experience and weld test
    • Advanced Level: Earn up to $32/hr based on skill, fabrication ability, and weld test performance
