About the Role:
We’re seeking a reliable, high-energy individual to support front office sales and load measuring operations. This role is fast-paced, customer-facing, and involves constant movement between the front office, loading areas, and outdoor spaces. This position is covering a team member currently on leave, with potential for extended need.

Job Duties

• Greet customers and complete front counter sales transactions

• Manage cash till and accurately process payments

• Answer phones and assist customers with questions and delivery orders

• Direct customers to appropriate loading and unloading areas

• Measure incoming recyclable loads using tape measures and calculations

• Perform visual inspections of incoming materials (ladder use may be required)

• Identify acceptable and unacceptable feedstocks per Metro and DEQ guidelines

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding recycling requirements

• Perform outdoor duties 20–40% of the day (sweeping, washing concrete, general cleanup)

• Move frequently between work areas to support operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front office and work area

Requirements

• 1–2 years of solid customer service experience

• Excellent communication and customer relations skills

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately

• Comfortable standing and moving 90% of the shift

• Physically able to handle constant walking, lifting, and outdoor work

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory guidelines

• Reliable, fast-paced, and able to multitask effectively
