Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Shear Operator to join our team on 1st Shift at our Willoughby facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating industrial shearing equipment and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate power shears to cut metal sheets to specified dimensions

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or production schedules

• Measure and inspect materials for accuracy and quality using gauges and measuring tools

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Shear Operator or in a metal fabrication environment preferred

• Ability to read measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
