  Job Summary
  We are seeking a reliable MIG Welder to join our team at our Champaign, IL location. This 1st-shift role supports fabrication and production operations by welding metal components to specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

  Shift & Pay

  • Shift: 1st shift, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

  • Pay: $20.75 per hour

  Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel and/or aluminum components according to drawings and work instructions

  • Set up welding equipment, adjust settings, and prepare materials for welding

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements

  • Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and accuracy

  • Grind, clean, and finish welds as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams to meet production goals

  Qualifications

  • Previous MIG welding experience (shop or production environment preferred)

  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math

  • Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and safety practices

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certification or technical training

  • Experience welding structural steel, sheet metal, or fabricated assemblies

  • Blueprint reading experience
