About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a Construction Company located in Olympia, WA, to fill a Concrete Finisher role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing team.

This position is Evaluation-to-Hire, with a consistent schedule of Days, Monday-Friday. Compensation starts at $35.00-$40.00/hr,

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Place and Finish Concrete – Spread, level, smooth, and texture freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools.
• Build and Set Forms/Frames – Construct, align, and secure concrete forms to ensure proper shape and grade.
• Monitor Curing – Apply curing compounds and monitor concrete to ensure proper strength and finish.
• Interpret Plans – Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Repair and Resurface – Address defects and perform necessary repairs on existing concrete surfaces.
• Maintain Tools and Equipment – Keep tools and equipment in good working condition and the work area clean.
•  Follow Safety Procedures – Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards at all times.
•  Collaborate with Team – Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to complete projects on schedule.

 

What You Bring:

 

• Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record – Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Experience – 2–4 years of concrete framing and finishing experience
• Physical Stamina & Strength – Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods; lift and move heavy materials (up to 50–100 lbs)
• Tool Proficiency – Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
• Attention to Detail – Ensures accurate measurements, proper finishes, and high-quality work
• Independence & Reliability – Able to work with minimal supervision, show up on time, and meet project deadlines
• Self-Motivated & Team-Oriented – Proactively addresses challenges, communicates effectively, and collaborates with coworkers and supervisors
• Safety-Conscious – Ability to work safely at heights, on uneven surfaces, and in varying weather conditions while following OSHA and company safety standards
